No. More. Pants.

Today is the last day of November. This is the last pair of pants I'll be wearing for 31 days.

Tomorrow starts a month of not wearing pants! This December, I will be wearing nothing but dresses to raise awareness for anti-human trafficking efforts and money for International Justice Mission

How will I do it? Well, here are the rules:
- Wear a dress every day for the entire month of December (no surprises there)
- I will repeat dresses in creative ways
- When I'm working out, cleaning, sleeping, or if I have a job that requires pants, I can wear pants
- I will wear skirts, but only over dresses (it's not called skirtember, folks)
- I will wear pants, but only under dresses
- Layers, layers, layers (along with Dressember this month might be referred to as leggings-ember, tights-ember, or boots-ember)

But let's be serious, this month is not about the clothing I wear. It's about bringing awareness to an issue that I am exceedingly passionate about. Ending human trafficking. If you're unfamiliar with the issue, send me a message/leave a comment, and I'll send you some resources.

Visit The Dressember Campaign to sign up and join in the fun. Check out my fundraising page here, if you'd like to donate!

I intend to post on a regular basis to keep y'all updated, so check back soon!

Thanks for your support!

For The Next Month, I'm Not Wearing Pants

My Name is Jaclyn Crawford, and for the next 31 days... I will not be wearing pants. So take a good look my friends, at those dark blue jeans.

Okay, so I'm not running around in my underpants. I'll be wearing dresses everyday for the month of December to raise support and awareness for International Justice Mission, who is bringing freedom to men and women who are victims of human trafficking. My goal is to raise $300 to support this mission, and utilize wearing dresses as a platform to make people aware of modern day slavery.

So here are the rules:
-Wear a dress everyday until Jan 1.
- I'll be repeating dresses. (Though, with how many dresses I have, it may not be a problem)
- While I'm working out, cleaning, or have a work events requiring me to wear pants...that's okay. Because really, playing badminton in a dress is not a good idea for anyone.
- NO SKIRTS
- If I feel the urge to wear pants, I can wear them, just under a dress.  And my assumption is, that leggings are acceptable. (It will have to be as long as it stays 30 below here in Chicago)

So there it is, that's the plan. I'll be posting about every two days to keep you updated on my progress and so you can see that this is really happening, as well as using Instagram to post proof. So join me in praying, spreading the word and donating to this campaign. Thanks for your support!

Why Dressember?

You know all those dresses you/your wife/your girlfriend/your mother has in her closet? How about we put them to good use.

Did you know that there are 27 million people are enslaved around the world? That is more than the entire course of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. And, that includes the United States.

This December, we will be putting our dresses to good use by wearing one everyday to raise funds and awareness to end human trafficking. This is a issue that is close to all of our hearts and you can help.

  • JOIN: Join in and put all those dresses in your closet to good use by wearing one everyday to support.
  • DONATE: Donate to any of our campaign to help end human trafficking. All proceeds go to International Justice Mission. You can learn more about IJM and Dressember, here.
  • PRAY: Please pray for the victims of slavery. Pray for justice and an end to human trafficking.
  • SHARE: Share with others what Dressember is all about and if you could, share our page on social media!
